Just a note to gauge interest in a possible standup comedy show at the San Leandro Performing Arts Center this coming December 31. As you no doubt know if you are on this email list, every year I present "Lighten Up for New Year’s Eve," featuring an array of comics to laugh you into the new year. We generally start at 7 so that the show is over by 9 and you can be someplace safe and festive when the clock strikes midnight. I’ve presented this show every year through 2019. 

In 2020, we were in lockdown, so there was no show. We produced one in 2021, but ticket sales were significantly below what we normally do, and by popular demand, the show was rescheduled for February due to last winter’s Omicron surge. I’d like to produce a show this year, but before I put all of the hard work in that presenting this show takes, I want to see if people would like to come.

So, should we bring back the NYE show this year? Are you willing to attend? Please email me and let me know. Based on the number of positive responses I get at copie@briancopeland.com, I’ll decide by the end of the week.
