It's been a while since you've heard from me in depth. I've had some health challenges, but I'm on the mend. I welcome all healing thoughts you send my way!

I'm reaching out now because my friend, Amy Henderson, is hosting a writing retreat in Danville from May 2-4. If you are working on a book, or would like to start one, I encourage you to attend the inaugural 'One True Story' retreat. Writing has saved my life. And I know my writing has saved other lives. During these challenging times, we need everyone who feels called to create with their words to sit down and write!

Amy is hosting this retreat because of me. I suggested she create an in-person intensive because she's been facilitating Writing Jams and Writing Salons for over 20 years. They've been so helpful to me that I included her in the acknowledgements of my new book! And I thought it would be even more valuable for new and experienced writers alike to have an intensive retreat. This way we can go even deeper into the craft and meet other writers for both support and networking.

On opening night of the 'One True Story' retreat, I'll share some of the stories about my experience publishing five books. My second crime novel, Shadows of Justice: A Topher David Thriller, comes out the last day of the retreat, Sunday May 4, and you can join us that evening at 4 PM for my book launch at Book Passage in Corte Madera.
