My friend and writing guide, Amy Henderson, has invited me to be a guest instructor at her next Zoom writing class next Thursday morning (Oct. 16). Her guidance has been invaluable with my own writing. If you’re thinking about putting pen to paper or fingers to keyboard to express yourself, snag one of the 10 open spots and join us!

From Amy:
I’m thrilled to co-facilitate a special Writing Jam with Brian Copeland on Thursday, October 16, 10 a.m.-12 p.m. PST (Zoom).
Brian is an award-winning actor, comedian, author, playwright, and television & radio host based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His one-man play "Not a Genuine Black Man" became the longest-running solo show in San Francisco theatrical history, with over 1,000 performances.
In addition to his stage and broadcast work, Brian is an accomplished author. His debut crime thriller Outraged (2024) was shortlisted for the 2025
Macavity Award for Best First Novel, and his second Topher Davis thriller, Shadows of Justice, was published earlier this year.
This online Writing Jam is an intimate, guided space where small groups of writers come together to write, reflect, and share. Brian and I will guide you through writing prompts and exercises that help you access your authentic voice.
If
you’ve ever felt the pull to write — whether as a journal keeper, a storyteller, or someone eager to put words on the page — this session is for you.
