THE SCION, Brian Copeland’s hit solo play about the notorious Santos Linguisa Factory murders and the privileged killer Stuart Alexander, returns to the stage for one performance only this Saturday, June 2 at 6 PM at Fort Mason in San Francisco. The show is a featured part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival.
In 2000 Stuart Alexander, 4th generation scion of a prominent San Leandro family, videotaped himself shooting 3 government meat inspectors to death as they attempted to inspect his factory. In a show that KQED named “Best New Play of 2014,” Brian Copeland weaves tragedy, pathos and comedy as he explores the roles of privilege and government regulation in American society.
