Copie's Choice for the weekend of December 27

Happy Holidays!

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and/or Hanukkah.

My family (19 of us!) celebrated on the Carnival Miracle as we sailed from San Diego to Cabo San Lucas.

If you’ve never taken a cruise, I can’t recommend going on one highly enough. It’s the perfect all-inclusive vacation. It great if you’re married, single or a family with small kids to teens. There’s so much to do. More activities and amenities available than I can list here, actually.

Plus, prices have gotten really reasonable. Go to vacationstogo.com and take a look at some of the discounts (some cruises have prices up to 80% off!)

Lighten UpI’m headed home now and will soon be hard at work making final preparations for my big LIGHTEN UP NEW YEAR’S EVE comedy concert at the San Leandro Performing Arts Center.

12 of the funniest comics working in San Francisco and LA will take the stage and laugh you out of 2019.

Tickets are still available. Show is 7-9:30 PM.

For tickets, call 1-800-838-3006 or go to brownpapertickets.com.

Got a couple of things to recommend to you this week.

EATS

If you find yourself in Cabo San Lucas, Wizzie’s restaurant is located right at the port as you get off the ship. While I’m sure that there are other great places in Cabo serving Mexican food, I always eat here at least once every time I’m in town.

Great food at great prices. Great service too. Plus, you can eat without being harassed by people selling souvenirs.

Jonathan Kellerman - The Murderer's Daughter coverGO.

BOOK

I’m reading my pal Jonathan Kellerman’s THE MURDERER’S DAUGHTER. It’s the suspenseful tale of grief therapist Dr. Grace Blades, a woman who witnessed the murder/suicide of her parents as a small child, only to find herself a suspect in the murder of a client as an adult.

I can’t put it down.
